Title: Directory Synchronization Log - OPS man
Post by: saschris on September 30, 2009, 04:49:12 AM
hopefully a simple question:
I am having problems with the telephone directory synchronization in OPs manager (version 8.0.2.8), it keeps coming back with "directory synchronisation failed, see log for details."
I cant find the log anywhere in OPS manger, does anyone know where i can find it?

I believe that some entries have not copied to all of our switches correctly, but without seeing the log its going to be a very long job going through the td on 4 switches...

All OPS logs are the application event viewer logs.
Not always easy to read though

On the Opsman go to Configuration / Directory Management / Telephone Directory Utilities

This will show you what outstanding changes you have in each system from your sync and why they have failed.

you will need to select the failed entry and look at the "additional info" to find out why. Should be a simple issue, prime name yes in controller and no in OPS (or the other way around) is common.
