Title: External ring solution - Hunt group ?

Hello everybody,

I have one problematic in my company.
I must implement external ring for SIP Phone in production.


So I want to deploy it with an adaptator SIP to analog, in order to plug external ring on analog line.
I want to make ring 2 different number in same time.

I have tried with hunt group without success because just 2 mode are allowed in Hunt Group:
- Circular
- Terminal


Did you have any way to ringing 2 different numbers in same time with Multiline Set Key Assigment(multicall)? (because in production it's SIP Phone, no mitel phone).

Help search in Mitel is not so good.

Could you help me to find menu where I can configure it?
I have try with Mitel Help Search without success!

Edit: I have try with Groups - Key System and Multicall help topic, without success because they don't take care about SIP Phone...

The form is called Ring Group Assignment but you have to release 8.0 or above.

Ok I better understand why I can't find this menu, I work on Release 7.1 UR2.
I going to try to update my Release.

Mitel release are free? Or I must pay for upgrade?

They used to be free now you have to buy software assurance.  One of the other guys could probably tell you more.

Software Assurance is purchased in one year increments and is needed for you to get a new password from AMC. As long as you have this and the software (free download from Mitel OnLine). There is a direct upgrade path from 7.1 UR2 to 9.0 UR2 (the latest).

If you try to upgrade and cannot get a new password from AMC the upgrade WILL fail and leave the system in an unusable state. It will then need to have the software installed manually and the db restored in the same manor.
