Hi,
I wonder if someone could help me with an issue i have. I have a dept with around 6 users all within a single pickup group at present. The team would like a feature where if an individual person is called that the phone rings say 6 times before it actually goes on to there voicemail? is it possible to have this kind of setup? At present i have it setup to divert to voicemail via a programmed key but would like to configure it as above if possible?
Thanks in advance

There are several ways to do this.
1- via feature codes you can forward your phone to the VM hunt group on ring no answer (RNA). Look in the Feature Access Codes form for the code.
2- via system programming. A) go to call rerouting first alternative form and under row 2 put "this" in all fields except the last one. (Never use row 1) In the last field put the pilot number to voice mail in it. Then go to the Call Rerouting Assignment form and find the extension number you want to forward. Put a '2' in the field labeled 'first alternative' (second field from last)
3- At the phone, hit the blue superkey and look for the call forwarding settings. Forward to the pilot number of the voice mail.

Hi,
Thanks alot for your help. I've followed option 2 (via system programming) managed to set all as you state. Query i have is with the handset its a 5312. When i press the blue button and scroll through options this i get to 'Call Forwarding' i click yes to that and am given these options? -
Always
B-Int
B-Ext
NA-Int
MA-Ext
I Am Here
Probably could test each one sorry but wanted to make sure i got it right?
Thanks again.

Always Never rings phone, forwards all calls every time
B-Int Forward on a busy condition if call in from someone internal
B-Ext Forward on a busy condition if call is from an external source
NA-Int Forward call on No Answer if call source is internal
MA-Ext Froward call on No Answer if call source is external
I Am Here Forward someone else's phone to your phone.

Thanks for the explanation that has worked a treat.

A quick addition to this - If one of the DN's i wanted to ring and then divert to users mobile after a few rings how can this be setup? i thought i could set the same then on the handset Set Busy int, busy ext to users mobile number instead of the voicemail number? on doing this though the phone just goes through to the handsets voicemail after a few rings not switches call to mobile phone number?
Thanks in advance

Remove the Call Rerouting 1st alt option
Remove the Call Rerouting 2nd alt option (if it's programmed)
Program a system speed call that rings the cell. Be sure to enable "Over ride Toll Restriction"
At the phone, hit the blue superkey and forward the phone manually to the new system speed call on RNA.

Hi Thanks a lot for the reply.
I have setup a system speed call to a number say 5555 with over tide toll restriction and actual number set to my mobile number.
At the phone via the superkey i scroll to call forwarding, select yes to that and scroll to NA-Int and NA-Ext and set to '5555' when i dial my ext number from another internal phone it just rings and
rings and doesnt divert to my mobile?
Have i missed something at all?
Thanks in advance

If you dial 5555 does it ring your phone?
If you forward your phone on an 'always' condition does it divert?

you need to put in the access number for dialling out if you have one, ie a 9 before your mobile number in your speed call
-
hi thanks for the replies.
when i dial '5555' it calls my mobile. Also the speed dial number is pre-configured with the 9 prior to my mobile. So from the handset works fine but if someone dials my ext it just rings and rings doesn't divert NA to the '5555' number?
confirmed that when 'always' is set on the phone it diverts straight to my mobile.
-
Ok. So we know that 5555 is set up properly and that it can divert.
Now we need to figure out why it's not diverting.
Check the Call Rerouting form. See if the phone has something other than a '1' in 2nd alternative field.
If it does, remove it. Then at the phone using the blue key, forward the phone on RNA to 5555 for both internal and external conditions. Then test it by dialing the extension number internally - not from the outside - to see if it diverts.

Hi ralph,
I'm struggling to locate where you mean sorry. I've taken a screen capture of what i believe you are referring to?
