Plus MAS 3.0 supports MBG 7.0. 7.0 supports IPv6 and can be used as a IPv4 to IPv6 gateway

Just heard UCM is coming out with iPhone and iPad support in September.

Is the app going to do anything other than allow you to change your presence?
-
Hmmm.
Don't know. I've seen the Android place calls - pretty cool. Looks like you're calling from your desk.
Can't see how that would work with iPad.

So the app has a softphone built into it? FINALLY!! It would work fine on the iPAD as long as you have some type of headset. Any idea if the chat feature works on it? That would be huge.

I saw a quick video interview yesterday - wish I could find the link again, dang it - where Mitel said the iPad/iPhone app would be released in Q4. Maybe, just maybe, one of the Mitel lurkers out there can PM one of you to be beta testers. (hint to Mitel)

Mitel Unified Communicator Advanced Mobile for iPhone and iPad is the next chapter in the Mitel mobile clients story. Earlier this year we delivered an industry-leading native client for BlackBerry® and then Android users . Our new iPhone and iPad clients aim in the same way to help enterprise users who have chosen these devices for their day-to-day use.
UC Advanced Mobile for iPhone and iPad is the perfect complement to our UC Advanced windows desktop client and allows users to make changes to their Dynamic Status from their mobile device as well as retrie voicemail, view their call history and corporate contacts with presence information. UC Advanced Mobile for iPhone/iPad can be used in conjunction with UC Advanced for windows or as a stand alone application for users who only need a mobie solution or have non windows based computers.
The General Availability of the UCA Mobile for iPhone and iPad is forecast to be Sept 15 2011.

For those that haven't seen yet, MAS 3.0, along with UCA 4.1 was released at the start of the week.
-
If you're planning to go to 3300 5.0, it's a good idea to upgrade MAS now. It's going to be a requirement.

How does your iPhone connect to the MAS server - do you need a public IP Address and A Records assigned to it, and open up your firewall? Is there any information on this anywhere?

Buy the Bria SIP client from the app Store.
Your FW will have to allow SIP to the Teleworker (MBG).
Program a SIP phone on the PBX.
In the SIP client it's pretty much as easy as telling it where the SIP server is and extn and password.
Really easy to set up.
