Hello there,
We recently purchase a mitel pbx system (sx200). The company we bought it from is no longer in business. When we went to set it up / config it we are unable to do so because we do not have the password to configure it. Does any know of a work around for this?
thanks in advance for your help!

Are you talking about the login password or the options password?
Either/Or I think you'll have to locate a dealer.
Mitel will have to reset the login password and you'll you to re-license the options.

Mitel can also help you find a dealer in this situation. Give them a ring 480.961.9000 if your in the US.

Also this would have to be transferred at your request to a new dealer for several hundred dollars in order for them to be able to get the options password. As far as administration passwords there are some defaults but any good dealer will change them. So a default of the system might have to be done.

We just picked up a hotel. SX200 ver 17(?) Remember the old white boxes?
They don't know who their original dealer was.
Doesn't have the password.
Not sure I can get Mitel to reset for software that old.
Wonder if a bit level editor could find it on the disk.......
Oops! Did I say that out loud? Don't do that.
