Title: Call Recording for Mitel 3300 CX II Controller
Post by: sutoh80 on January 27, 2011, 09:34:08 PM
Hi All. Need some help on some call recording issue on Cybertech recorder with Mitel 3300 CX II Controller. Software SP10.

We set out port spanning on the phone (Model 5340 & 5324) to be recorded. we can only receive the audio but not the D-Channel information.

May I know is the D-Channel information present or encrypted in the packet for mitel 3300?

PS: there no CTI/CDR integration between the recorder and mitel.

If you can hear the audio then it's not encrypted.
Mitel uses a proprietary protocol for call control called Minet.   You call recorded will have to understand it in order for it to work.

Mitel generally recomends that call recording is proxied via an SRC server

Some call recorders that work on the trunk side use SMDR or the call center reporting ports to get the info they need for identifying calls.  Likely you need to work with your call recording vendor to get it set up right...
