Title: Non-unique match
Post by: doctora on December 01, 2010, 11:22:09 AM
When using the Maintenance Commands I type "LOCATE EXTENSION 3283".  The response is "Non-unique match".

When I Type "LOCATE PLID 2 1 1".  The response is "Non-unique match".

I used to get information about extension and with the second command a list of the ports on the card along with the extensions assigned.

Thanks
Mark

It usually means the system is expecting something else from you.
I've seen it happen most often when doing a make busy on a circ.
Try entering "Next".

I typed in the command "NEXT"  The repsonse was

"MC320FA On Premises Line at Location 4 1 7 10 is NOT Manbusy"  - I have no idea what that response means but now the commands are working fine.  Thanks

What happened was: someone tried to busy a circuit.  It was in use.  The system was asking you to "force, Courtesy down or Next to skip".   No one had responded to the question so it just keeps waiting and if whatever you entered was not "Force" or "CD" or "Next" the it gives you the response you received.
