Post by: sunspark on January 12, 2018, 05:24:12 PM
Hi.
Anyone know if it s possible to set a key loudspeaker.
When user A hit the key. He can speak to a group - 5 member= in their loudspeaker?

You mean Group Page via the phones? Sure... Build the page group, then set the code under a speed dial.

Or are you referring to a Loudspeaker (overhead) page?

Hi ace. I never used group page before. What is my customer wanting when he hits a key or Feature access code. Then he can speak to 5 users in their loudspeaker (now meeting for example)

Put a bunch of phones in a group, then you direct page the group and basically it's a one-way announcement for a group of phones... like "Mark, you have call parked on 1101" or "Free pizza in the lunch room" (I can dream, right?). Often a substitute when you don't have overhead paging.

But it s a live announcement? Or a message? Or it rings like ring group?

I have another example :

The security guy want to said to all employees. Ther is fire you have to leave the office....

So employers should receive this message on loudspeaker

Sure, it is a live, one-way announcement to a group of phones.

Directly from system help:

Group Page allows you to make an announcement to a group of people through the speaker of their telephones. A tone is heard at both the paging telephone and the paged telephone before the Group Page is established. During a Group Page, the paging set displays the number of the group being paged; the paged sets do not display any paging information.

Open the on-line help and navigate to System Features - Features D to G - Group Page

You can also add in a 5485 IP Paging adapter, so yes you can page phones and overhead simultaneously.
