Title: Nupoint- call flow mailbox
Post by: sunspark on November 09, 2017, 06:14:30 PM
Hi guys;

does anyone know how to set up in Nupoint ,  a mailbox to announce only a message and not leave the possibility to the caller to record a message?

Thank you.

I would answer with a menu that allows only a single dtmf digit, set all press options to retry and hang up after timeout

The Call Director thing works fine... But back when they cost you a fortune for the  licenses and before everyone got one with every user licence, we would make a bare bones FCOS for this. FCOS makes Nupoint extremely flexible.

Does it work if you perform the same operation from an IP set? I assume it does... Then the issue is most likely the COR of the SIP extension in the 3300.

From a Call Director, if you are transferring to an external destination, you should use Alternate Transfer, not Blind Transfer.

I believe the Alternate Transfer waits for dial tone and allows you to perform another action if the call is not answered. A Blind Transfer will send the call to the destination regardless of status.

Where you put the number I'd also put S+[Digits to Dial]+H where S will flash the switchook and H will put the call on hold while it dials. Sometimes you can just do the number, but sometimes it doesn't work, whereas I always see the S+x+H method work.

I have a wired behavior (aleternate transfer) with or withouy your method.

When i make my choice (example press 1 ) i have 3s music and hold , then the external destination ring 1s (mobile phone ) then stop ringing.

I don't think that's giving it enough time to answer before its recalled. I would move it up to 24 or even 30 if you want to allow the mobile voicemail to pick up.

Ok. I will try. But if it works. I dont want to keep call in hold 30 seconds. I want to transfert immediatly the call to external destination.

Hi ZuluAlpha,

I changed the no aswer timeout to 30second ( same behavior)

I call from my Mobile1 the mailbox then make choice 1 ( alternate transfer to extrnal destination Mobile2)

Behavior :

After making choice 1 from mobile1 i have continuous music on hold
im mobile2 i have 1second ring then nothing.

That's really strange since the mobile rings it is clearly sending the call out. Does it have the same behavior on any mobile?

Crowtalks just found this solution for different problem a couple of threads above:

"...Go to the trunk COS and in the ringing section, up the recall timer and that fixed the issue. He said he can't think of a scenario the recall timer would be needed."

Hi Zulualpha .

the probleme was in the COS of voicemail port " allow public trunk to public trunk ...."  was set to NO.

It works now.
