MiCollab call history issue
« on: March 19, 2017, 11:37:46 PM »
Hoping someone has seen the issue before or might be able to help. Under certain conditions, MiCollab v7 is not logging the call history correctly

Here is what we do:

Caller dials our main number which the receptionist x1350 picks up. Customer asks to speak to Jane at x1367. Reception attempts to transfer to x1367 but Jane doesn't answer. Receptionist presses the line button to get the call back and takes a message.
In MiCollab, it shows the outgoing call to x1367 but does not show the incoming call with the customers number.

In the same example, if Jane does pickup the call and the transfer is completed there are two entries in the MiCollab call history. One for the incoming call from the client and one for the outgoing call to x1367

Is this is the settings of the MiCollab software on the clients machine?

What version MiCollab? I seem to recall this being a bug in a recent (in the last year?) release.

Where can i get different versions of the MiCollab client from for testing?

By upgrading your MiCollab Server.

/ucs/dl/UnifiedCommunicatorAdvanced.msi

By upgrading your MiCollab Server.

/ucs/dl/UnifiedCommunicatorAdvanced.msi

so the MiCollab client version is tied to the MiCollab server version? As in, if i want to run a more recent client version, i need to update the server version?
What about minor updates e.g. 7.2.1.10 to 7.3 - does Mitel release minor updates and how do we get these?

Reading the documentation it looks like the minor update to 7.3 is pretty straight forward to do.

It is fairly low risk/low impact? Do i need to do it after hours and do a backup first?

This is partially true. You can run a newer client and it likely will function in you case. I was running the 7.3 prior to our last upgrade. This allows you to deploy the client if necessary so that all users aren't prompted for the upgrade.

To get the client, I download the iso and use 7 zip to extract the msi
