A line measuring tool? Like with a Dynatel 965? Have you tried just putting a butt-set on the line and making/receiving a call and check for noise, etc?

What they are likely looking for is basic line measurements, loop current, ring voltage, on-hook voltage, noise and loss levels...

What issues are you having?

Its built into the system forms "Line Quality Measurement"

Search the help for LMT it goes through the setup

Also if you have the millwatt test number and the silence test number at the CO it helps. if not you can set up loopbacks and do them from the 3300

Hi acejavelin,

The problem that I have is that when I dial a number through analog trunk in 10 attempts only 3 or 4 is calls ok. The Telco is telling me that when the calls are not ok, is when they receive only 4 or 5 digits. Here on the island we have a 7 digits number plan.

The Telco is using Metaswicth for their core telephony switch. This start to happen when the Telco switch from their Ericsson Switch to Metaswitch.

I upgrade to software release, make a new Circuit descriptor, increase the first & inter digits timer but with no luck.

Any suggestions ?

This can be common on analog trunks.

You need to setup ARS Call Progress Tone and Digit Modifications.

There is another forum where this was asked.
