A bit of telemarketer fun
« on: February 19, 2016, 08:47:52 AM »
I just had a customer have me set up a speed call number to go to a "Robot" so that when a telemarketer calls he can simply transfer the call to it.
If you call the number you get a "hello?" and then a bunch of "yeah" and "uh huhs" to keep the telemarketer going.

This seems like great fun to me.

Here's the web page telling you how to use the robot.

Ralph,

That is too funny! Have you called the number and listened to it; I was laughing the whole time and it was just agreeing with me.

Thanks,

TE

P.S. That made my day.

I wonder how long it would take my boss to catch on if I forwarded my work phone to that.

That would be fun.
Let us know how that works out.

I actually have a customer that uses this... they have an issue with telemarketers from time to time, always from specific numbers so in their 5000 made a phantom of 6666 that is call forwarded to that number.

I am not saying we did this, but it would be simple to make a Caller ID Call Routing Table that lists all these telemarketing numbers and routes them immediately to 6666 without ever touching an AA or person inside the company.  8)

I wonder if it's temporary, although it looks like they are commercializing these recordings if you browse their site... the company is still in business and their other services work.

When I call it I get a answer confirmation and then silence, let it sit for 30 seconds or so and got nothing.
