How to define what TG the MWI application uses
« on: September 02, 2015, 01:46:23 PM »
5000 Release 6.0

How do I assign the MWI application (2701 in this case) to use a specific trunk group (or ARS) for outgoing notification calls? I have 3 trunk groups, 92001 is a single line (main number), 92002 is PRI, and 92003 is a single line for service. I want the MWI Notification app to use 92002, so in the trunk group restrictions I removed the outbound access for the 2701 application from 92001 and 92003, so it isn't using those trunks anymore, but it isn't using the PRI at all... in the logs it shows:

-03:017- > -03:990- 12:02 09-02 M4019 WRN DB CP '2701' Does Not Have Day Outgoing Access on Trunk Group, Node Trunk Group, or IP Connection '92001'

Repeated over and over again since it is trying to do outgoing notification of messages. I want it to make those calls over the 92002 (PRI) trunk group.

Thanks!

acejavelin,

I am assuming that you have a mailbox setup for Remote Messaging as that is the only application that it would call out for to deliver a message.

If that is the case then you need to go to that mailbox that is trying to remote message and inside the cascade level there should be an outgoing extension or access number; this usually defaults to 92001. If you change that then it will change which one it tries to go out of for that mailbox.

Thanks,

TE

Gotcha... I see it now, I was just having a brain fart. Now I need to touch about 100 mailboxes.  :(

acejavelin,

Sorry bud, but if you haven't had them all setup then a copy/paste would work great in that scenario.

Sorry,

TE
