UC360 set date & time
« on: May 21, 2015, 04:34:04 PM »
I've got 2 Mitel UC360 conference phones working off my 5000 switch, the phones work fine, except the time & date are wrong, my switch only has an ISDN Pri (23 channels) trunks to the CO, no internet, so I can't tell it to get it's time and date from an NTP server, and I don't see any way to manually set the time and date on the UC360 phones. The rest of the phones are 5360's and seem to be fine getting their time & date from the 5000 but I don't see anyway to tell the UC360s to do that? All I see are options to set the date & time formats and timezones etc. nothing to actually set the time and date itself? Any clue would be appreciated.

nabisho,

The UC 360 gets its time from the Internet and will need access to the Internet for the date and time to work properly. For some unknown reason they removed the ability to set where you get your NTP service from and it is pretty much hardcoded now.

Thanks,

TE

what about setting up your own ntp server on the local network?

Markdevoll,

That would be nice if there was a way to get the UC 360 to look at it. The problem is that when they went to the 2.0 software version they removed the ability to change where it looks for NTP service.

Thanks,

TE

When the UC360 first came out I was really impressed, but not any more. I'll take a Polycom 7000 any day of the week.
