Creating a DID to route directly to a voicemail box
« on: September 11, 2014, 10:49:23 AM »
This may be a simple task, but I am a newby on creating this task.
I need to assign a DID number to directly go to a voicemail box.  Can anyone provide me with instructions on this task ??
I originally created a phantom ext and then assigned that phantom in the call routing table to this new phantom.  I then added a forwarding path to VOICEMAIL.  This did not work.
Not sure where I made the mistake.
Any assistance greatly appreciated

You're on the right track, I often do it that way.  Phantom ext must have matching mailbox.  Phantom should have a SYS FWD path to vmail, and should have IMMEDIATE flag turned on (double-click icon by fwd path to reach flags).

Or create a Call Routing Announcement in Voice Processors > Devices > Applications, delete the Day / Night Greetings, and set the Timeout action to Transfer to Mailbox - (Mailbox #). Point your DID to the CRA and you're done.
