Coolest Support tool ever!
« on: October 28, 2011, 08:02:07 AM »
This is pretty cool.
One of my techs brought this to my attention.
The tool is included with win 7.

Everytime you click your mouse it collects a screenshot.

It's called PSR (no idea what PSR stands for.  Maybe 'personal support recorder'?)
To use it, go to Start--> run-->enter PSR.
Then hit the 'start record' button.
From that point it records all your keystrokes along with screen shots.
When you click stop it saves it in a zip file so you can send it to your support people.

I've included a quick demo off our lab system so you can see what it looks like.

That looks really cool, thanks for sharing :)

With collecting keystrokes, I see on your logon for your demo system it seemed to record '... Enter' - is this right, or does it just summarise the keystrokes entered?

It summarized my keystrokes.
I would have entered a password there.

Also,
I had to DL the file to take a look at what you were talking about.
It wanted to save it as index.php.    It should have been "problem.zip"
I had to DL it and change the extension to zip before I could open it.
Did anyone else have that problem?
