How to enable e-mail reader profile
I am not sure I understand your question here... What "e-mail reader profile"? What are you trying to accomplish here?

I had the IT provider remote in and verified all the settings are correct and he has IMAP set to port 993 but the system is still looking for port 143. He refuses to open up port 143. I have SSL enabled. The server is using port 587 we verified everything. How can I get the controller to look for port 993 and not 143

RLyon,

It seems you are grasping at straws here.

1. The E-Mail Reader Profile is only for the full blown Enterprise Messager Voice Processor which isn't supported past 5.x.
2. The E-Mail Reader Profile does not work with the built-in Voice Processor.
3. The E-Mail Reader Profile is for ASR functionality only.
4. ASR Functionality required additional licensing on the EM Voice Processor and you can't get additional licensing for any old Inter-Tel equipment as they shut down that service.

If this is only to perform ASR functions without the EM Voice Processor without the correct licensing then you might as well forget it. If this is for an EM-VP then you should have upgraded them to a newer version while they were allowing that to happen at a very low price a very long time ago.

What version of software is the MiVO-250 at for this customer?

Sorry,

TE

Possibly, when searching the help file for IMAP port 993 it pointed to the Email Reader. The version is 6.2.2 and yes, this is still for that VM to email issue that has been ongoing way to long

RLyon,

Go to System > E-Mail Gateway > SMTP Port

Change that to 993 and see if that works for you.

The remainder of the IMAP settings are per Mailbox.

Thanks,

TE

Tech E,

Thank you for the suggestion but that did not work as well. I went to each mailbox and switched it between event and polling.
