Teleworker Mode
« on: December 14, 2020, 11:05:46 AM »
We have a group of users successfully setup as teleworkers and working from home. A couple will be coming into the office with their phone for a few days then returning home. Do we need to change any of the teleworker programming when they come onsite to work and return home?

The answer is a definite maybe... Without knowing more of your setup, it is almost impossible to say.

Most likely, you will need to have the users disable/delete Teleworker settings, the rest depends on your setup...

Have them default the phone when they get back to the office, they'll pick up their config from DHCP. When they go back to WFH, have them put the TW IP address in again, it's fairly simple on both the 5300 and 6900 series phones if you provide decent instructions.

It's certainly possible to configure your MBG + edge firewall/router in such a way that the public IP of the MBG works from inside the network, but the cost of this convenience, is that users will be wasting MBG licenses using MBG from inside the network.
