Tech Issue on SIP Trunk

Hi Guys,

I have a question. I have a sip trunk programmed on a Mitel 470.
When I dial the main number which is programmed on the sip trunk, the call drops.
I can received the call normally, but the call drops afterwards.

Can someone help me out on this one?

The pbx is connected on the customer LAN and authenticate through an static public ip with the sip provider.

Can someone help me out on this one?

So no username/password.

Do you have ports forwarded to PABX?

Yes I have username and password. Forgot to mentioned that.
I have no port forwarding programmed. Do I need to do port forwarding to the ip address of the PBX?
If yes, do I need to forward the RTP ports ?

Yes you will need to do port forwarding for both SIP ad RTP if you have connections initiating from external.

This also opens your PBX to risk, can you restrict the port forwards to the VoIP provider only?

This issue started when the software release was upgraded from 4.1 to 6.1.
Waiting for the network tech to do the portforwarding.
