horn paging
« on: October 14, 2019, 05:15:07 PM »
I have a paging horn going to an amp and then to the mitel loop start 4. I cant get it to work. Page zones (9600)> trunks>94001 (92001 analog). What am I missing?

RLyon,

Is the device you hooked up to providing battery to the loop start port?

If you hook up your buttset do you hear any audio when dialing 9600 or the trunk directly?

If you dial the trunk directly what does it do?

Thanks,

TE

RLyon,

What is the name of the device you hooked up to the LS port? I will look it up and see how it is supposed to be configured.

Thanks,

TE

well for 1, I just had the butt set hooked to the Loop start and it didn't ring and immediately hung up, but it's a crown amp (which I'm sure is correct) Channel 1 Black (Tip) is positive and Yellow (Ring) is negative

RLyon,

Do you mean to tell me that you hooked a Loop Start Port directly up to an Amplifier without a Loop Start Interface? You will most likely need an interface like a Viking PI-1A or something similar to get that to work.

Why don't you just come out of the Paging Interface of the system?

Thanks,

TE
