All Micollab clients as teleworker
« on: July 26, 2017, 08:38:48 AM »
Hi,

I am new to micollab and was wondering if it is possible to install all micollab clients as teleworker ( including the internal PC clients)?
The reason for this is to not have to open the firewall ports from the MBG in the DMZ to the PC Clients. I would only have to open ports from the MBG to Micollab and to media devices in the LAN (which I can put in a separate VLAN).
I also would not have to set up split DNS to resolve the micollab hostname internally as it would need to resolve to the external IP address.

Can this be done? Does it make sense? And why or why not?

Thanks for your help

sure.. you can do that... but be sure to include a host lookup (since you aren't doing split dns) in MBG so it can reach the micollab server.
